Tree Surgery

A Crown Lift is a process where the lowest limbs of a tree are removed whilst maintaining an aesthetic tree shape and promoting more light to areas directly underneath the tree.

A Crown Thin is a process where the tree surgeon selects branches to remove from all around the tree to promote light penetration, reduce wind resistance and reduce weight, while maintaining the shape and size of the tree.

A Crown Reduction is a process where the tree surgeon reduces the overall size and shape of the tree whilst maintaining a balanced and aesthetic tree shape.

Fruit Tree Pruning is essential to promote fruit growth. The Tree Surgeon carefully selects branches to trim or remove to create the optimum shape for fruit production.

Pollarding is the process of removing all of the live growth from a tree, leaving only the main stem structure. The tree will respond by sending vigorous regrowth out from the pollard points, creating a new, smaller canopy. This process is then repeated over a period of time the keep the tree to a manageable size. Certain species respond better to this pratice.
Pollarding
Dead wooding a tree is the careful identification and removal of any dead or dying wood in the tree. Dead branches can be hazardous so it is advised they are removed quickly and by a professional.
Removing Dead Wood
We will always do our best come up with solutions to retain trees rather than remove them. However sometimes, usually due to tree being structurally compromised and in a location where it could damage property or injure someone, a full tree removal will be agreed upon.
